Aboriginal Community Engagement (ACE) Workshop -

"What to do if a child tells you they are being abused"
This free 2-day face to face workshop is organised by NSW Health Education Centre Against Violence (ECAV), in partnership with tri-agency partners (Police and DCJ).

AIM:
This Workshop aims to support engagement and connection between JCPRP Units and local Aboriginal communities and workers supporting Aboriginal families.
It’s an opportunity for:

 JCPRP workers to share information about the Program

Community to ask questions, share concerns and ideas about ways JCPRP can better support families and communities

The workshop covers topics including:
What is child abuse?
What to do if a child tells you about being abused
Community strengths and connections
What does the Joint Child Protection Response Program do?

How to Request an ACE Workshop:
If your JCPRP Unit would like to request an ACE Workshop in your area:
1. Consult with your local Aboriginal community, workers and services supporting Aboriginal families to gauge their interest in being part of an ACE in your area
2. Discuss and agree on the request for ACE workshop at your JCPRP Local Management Group (LMG) meeting
3. Nominate your JCPRP unit for a workshop complete this form
