The NSW Health Education Centre Against Violence (ECAV) Aboriginal Qualification Pathway Graduation Dinner was held on Wednesday 22 May 2024, with 98 graduating students. Due to COVID-19, this annual event has not been held for five years. It was a major success with an excess of 170 people in attendance with representation from the Ministry of Health, ECAV, WSLHD, Sydney University and of course students and their families. The beautiful welcome to country delivered by Uncle Colin Locke, Keynote Speaker Dr Carmen Parter, and Master of Social Work Degree recipient Roslyn Jackson were some of the many highlights throughout the night. There were multiple award winners across our qualification spectrum including the addition of our new award for the Graduate Certificate in memory of Uncle Victor Morgan who was an integral part of the Aboriginal portfolio team at ECAV. Big thank you to the ECAV team for their amazing work, and congratulations to all our graduating students. See below some photos from our wonderful night and video clip.
