ECAV Aboriginal Qualification Pathway
This workforce development initiative supports Aboriginal people working and/or wanting to work with Aboriginal families and communities, with a focus on prevention and response to violence, abuse and neglect (PARVAN). This pathway offers culturally immersive nationally accredited courses designed by Aboriginal academics and educators.
It’s tailored for Aboriginal people who want to develop knowledge and skills related to Aboriginal healing frameworks, effects of ongoing colonisation, racism and intergenerational trauma. It promotes effective responses to adult and child sexual assault, family violence, child abuse and neglect.
The course explores Aboriginal lived experiences, Aboriginal worldviews and best practice in responding to trauma.
