The Education Centre Against Violence (ECAV) and the Ministry of Health, Prevention of Violence, Abuse & Neglect (PARVAN) jointly hosted a Statewide Forum to support the first phase implementation of the NSW Health Adult Survivors Program (ASP). This is a statewide program aims to improve health and wellbeing outcomes for adult survivors of child sexual abuse with complex needs. This Forum provided an opportunity to share background, policy & pilot research information, as well as connection opportunities to support the workforce from Sexual Assault Services, Mental Health, Aboriginal Health and Drug & Alcohol Services. It was well attended with 75 people attending in person and a further 21 people online. The feedback to the day has been overwhelmingly positive, with the impressive survivor advocate panel session as a key highlight of the day.
