ECAV attended Hunter New England Child Protection Week.
The aim of Child Protection Week (3rd – 9th September 2023) is to bring together partner agencies to focus on addressing the significant harms being experienced by children in Australia. By working collectively we can reduce the number of children who may come in contact with the child protection system and therefore the trajectory for them and their families. The time to act is now.
ECAV held a stall at the Hunter New England Child Protection Week Event which welcomed over 200 people face to face and a further 200 people virtually. We had such a wonderful time connecting with NSW Health and NGO colleagues with child protection being at the centre of our conversations; and hearing the guest speakers at the forum discuss how we can collaborate and respond to child protection concerns and improve responses for children, young people and their families.
