Our Values

ECAV acknowledges the owners of this land and is committed to education programs that raise awareness of how white privilege continues to reinforce the ongoing legacies of colonisation and racism for Aboriginal communities. We recognise and value diversity within all our communities, including Aboriginal communities. We are inspired by the voices of victim/survivors of violence, abuse and neglect and are committed to listening to their ideas on how best to improve service responses to meet their needs. We strive to demonstrate and promote the following values:

  • Human Rights

  • Social Justice

  • Cultural safety

  • Gender Equity

  • Respect & Inclusiveness

  • Honesty & Integrity

  • Ethical Practice

  • Accountability

  • Accessibility

  • Sustainability

  • Ongoing Learning

  • Collaboration

  • Teamwork

Our Vision

Our vision is of a highly effective multi-sectorial workforce (inclusive of NSW Health) that is well equipped with the skills and knowledge to prevent interpersonal violence, and to identify and respond to children, young people and adults who have experienced sexual assault, domestic violence, Aboriginal family violence and childhood physical or emotional abuse and neglect. We have a vision of a coordinated and responsive system and a workforce that has the capacity to improve the health and wellbeing for victim/survivors.
