"Program, People, Practice, Processes and Policy"
ECAV hosted the Joint Child Protection Response Program (JCPRP) Forum on Wednesday 1st May 2024 in St Leonards, Sydney. The day was attended by 41 people from across the state. Attendees heard updates on work from the Ministry of Health and the draft JCPRP policy. A workshop on information exchange was held, exploring the underlying principles of practice. Participants were particularly interested in presentations from their peers and colleagues from the JCPRP and child wellbeing and protection space, including a panel on the practice of exchanging information within a tri-agency organisation; and wonderful presentations of personal reflections on what a range of JCPRP clinicians wish they would have known when they started in the role, and what they know now. Participants on the day reported taking away great learnings and expressed their enthusiasm for the content of the day and the opportunity to spend the day collaborating with colleagues from all over NSW.
