Health workers and counsellors in contact with adults who have experienced childhood physical abuse, emotional abuse and neglect (eg mental health workers, drug and alcohol workers, early childhood nurses, midwives).

Description:

This course provides participants with an overview of the impact and dynamics of childhood abuse and neglect. It will explore the links between interpersonal trauma and adulthood issues, with a focus on parenting difficulties. It will include a focus on relationship building, identifying strengths and addressing issues of guilt and shame.
