Awards
In 2006 ECAV received recognition for its excellence in Aboriginal programming through the Annual NSW Aboriginal Health Awards.
In the category Healthy Safe Families Making a Difference, ECAV's Certificate IV Aboriginal Family Health (Family Violence, Sexual Assault and Child Protection), took out first place and received a beautiful glass trophy.
The second award in that category was another ECAV initiative - Weaving the Net (WTN).
WTN is a twelve-month commitment to an Aboriginal community. The community invites ECAV's Aboriginal educators working from a community solutions focus, to work with the community in delivering training on child sexual assault, child protection, family and domestic violence, community education and community building. The award was for "Recognising excellence in the development and delivery of health initiatives".
